NORTH CENTRAL NEWS...
Lisa Ebert
North Central Regional Board of Director

Welcome to North Central ENA!!!  I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to those of you that don’t know me…. I am Lisa Ebert the new North Central ENA regional Director.

What does this mean???  2008 has brought many exciting changes to the Wisconsin Emergency Nurses Association (WENA). We are transitioning from a 3 tier structure to a 2 tier structure. Previously we functioned as National ENA, Wisconsin ENA and regional Chapters (North Central ENA). Now we have 2 levels ….National ENA  and Wisconsin ENA. Our North Central Chapter has now become the North Central Region. I was elected the President of the North Central Chapter of WENA  and now this position has transitioned to Director of the North Central Region. This is a work in progress with many new challenges as well as opportunities for emergency nurses.

I look forward to this exciting opportunity for change!! I am currently the Injury Prevention Coordinator and Trauma Case Coordinator for Aspirus Wausau Hospital. I am the Co-coordinator of Wausau Safe Kids. I am starting my 20th year of nursing (YEAH!). I have worked in the Emergency Department at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for 11 years and I continue to work as a staff nurse on an occasional basis. I am the Injury Prevention Chairperson for Wisconsin ENA. I am the Injury Prevention Chairperson for the North Central Regional Trauma Advisory Council.  You can contact me at Lisae@Aspirus.org or 715-847-0027.
